The 2008 Ford Sport Trac is a very overlooked and underappreciated
vehicle in the Ford Lineup. I recently had the opportunity to drive one
for a week and was very impressed. I have a Family of four, Wife and
two kids, and it had room for everyone and then some. The ride was
very impressive for a truck, it really felt more like an SUV, and the
utility is awesome. Plenty of room in the bed for Groceries, storage,
anything in general, although a tonneau cover is a great benefit in
the case of groceries.

Here are the stats on the FORD SPORT TRAC..

UNDER THE HOOD: There are two options here.. First is Sport Trac's
standard 4.0L SOHC V6 engine with 5-speed automatic transmission
provides an impressive combination of power and value. The smooth
and quiet powertrain churns out 210 hp and 254 lbs.-ft. of torque while
providing an EPA estimated 14 mpg city/20 hwy (4x2) and 13 city/19
hwy (4x4). Second option for the Sport Trac is the Sport Trac is the
available 4.6L V8 engine features 3 valves per cylinder and advanced
variable cam timing technology. It cranks out an awesome 292 hp and
300 lb.-ft. of torque.

CAPABILITY: Bring your favorite recreation vehicles along on your next
trek. When properly equipped, a V8-powered Sport Trac 4x2 has a maximum
Class III/IV towing capacity of 7,160 lbs. (7,000 lbs. with 4x4). The
V6-powered Sport Trac is pretty impressive, too, with a 5,260-lb. rating
(4x2) and 5,090 lb. rating (4x4).

SAFETY: Sport Trac has earned 5-Star ratings from the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for front and side-Impact crash tests
at all four seating positions. 2008 Ford Sport Trac provides more airbag
protection than ever. Front and side airbags for the driver and front seat
passenger. And now standard, the Safety Canopy™ system with side curtain
airbags providing protection in a rollover accident for the front and second-row
outboard passengers. In certain side impacts or rollovers, the airbags stay
inflated longer for enhanced head and shoulder protection. Even with this
comprehensive airbag coverage, always remember to buckle up your safety
belt and secure children in the rear seat. The available DVD-based Navigation
System is a must-have for people on the go. Equipped with intersection
programming, the system calls out approaching street names. Another
helpful feature is the optional Reverse Sensing System that detects and
then alerts you to objects up to 6 ft. behind you when you're slowly backing up.

TECHNOLOGIES: The 2008 Ford Sport Trac is now available with SYNC, an
integrated, voice-activated communication and media system.  It allows you
to operate your Bluetooth® phone and access your MP3 player by genre,
album, artist or song title with simple voice commands. You can even make
